Their willingness to forgive each other their faults and reunite, if only for Binacle's sake (plus the sake of all the innocent Pokemon harmed by Team Rocket's (unintended) actions), is a great example of The Power of Friendship and/or Storge/Philia which would be a foundation to Squishy's argument. While Bonnie's care for it forms the core basis of that argument, it can be argued that she's merely an exception to the rule, but then the argument can be made that there are more exceptions.Īnd Ed and Locke are Squishy's first evidence of this outside of Bonnie's group.

Squishy, on the other hand, makes the argument that Humans Are Special. The whole theme of Z2 is that Humans Are Bastards, primarily due to it being around mainly Team Flare, though Team Rocket didn't do much to discourage that view, as their protections of Z2 were only insofar as it would benefit them. The episode that aired today in the US is not Filler: It's actually important to the Squishy vs Z2 plot point.

I'm making a Double Post today, as opposed to wiping out the prior post to recant what I said there, because I feel that it's important to understanding the series: The wolf needs the pack, and the pack needs the wolf. Lone wolf? Hah! "Lone" wolves die out of hunger and loneliness. The main draw of the ep is Trevor vs Alain so I guess this means Ash just wails onto these two trainers easily. Oh and some guy with a weird hairdo confronts Ash on the hallway. Trevor's mega item is his camera! Also Ash punks a random trainer in the league (people guess it's Tomohisa Sako, the singer of Getta Ban Ban and Kira-Kira and current song director - since the trainer looks like him and uses an Altaria, Sako's favorite mon). Next ep preview (though not exactly airing next week - there's a break next week). If you're curious, the this is the letter ◊. And the flashback ends with that scene on an old episode where Ash and Clemont are on bed and Ash promises him he'll challenge him with three badges. Guess who takes up a lot of those fond memories? Ash. Complete with Clemont writing some letter (love letter? heh) on the desk on the left side of the screen, while flashes of his fond memories play on the right side of the screen. Lots of physical gags and stuff like the "anime wall slam" with Jessie and James.īut the real thing about this is the one-time ED replacement - the Kira-Kira insert but now sung by Yuki Kaji.

Wasn't really expecting today's episode (it's both filler and QUALITY episode) but it was surprisingly funny.
